VTG Early Mid-Century Gossip Bench, Telephone Chair, Cell Phone Charging Station

  
These chairs were popular from the'30s into the mid'50's. Also known as a telephone table, gossip bench, conversation chair or courting bench, these vintage pieces were found in many different rooms of the house. This chair measures 31" tall, 27" wide and 19 long. Seat height is 18" and 14" deep. It weighs approximately 17 pounds and is quite stable. Cushion is faded but intact. Wood has scuffs and scratches but is solid without any cracking.

It could easily be used as is, or be part of a refinishing project. Whatever is planned, this mid-century piece will bring vintage charm to its space and could potentially take on a modern role such as a central charging station for cell phones.
