Pair of Early Rounding Board Lions Heads Wood Carousel Charles Leopold. Charles Leopold was a master craftsmen and carver that worked for the Long family for a period of time. One of Charles Leopold's lion carvings is in the collection of the Smithsonian. I will say these are attributed to him rather than by him but they very closely resemble his work and they are just stunning. I have several more wonderful items I will be listing from this amazing collection over the next couple months. As well as early American folk art, shaker items and 19th century Americana.
