A wonderfully stylized example of a. She is seated in veneration, holding a lidded box or basket as an offering. Please note how delicate her facial features are, with stylized almond shaped eyes, and appears to be wearing hair in a stylized bun at the top of her head. This figure appears to have had an important role in tribal use, as it has very old repairs to the cracks, very old wire holding it together. It also has what appear to be deliberate punctures and scratches throughout and has a beautifully aged, shiny patina. Measurements: 10 7/8 x 3 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches.

Condition: Condition is commensurate with age and use. Scuffs, cracks and minor losses throughout. Very old repairs, held together with old metal wires. All items for sale are vintage or antique and it may show evidence of wear. Please see condition report and photos.
