Early 19th Century Sm Sz Watercolor Of A Gentleman Very Elegant Black & Grey

  

Here for sale is a beautiful and elegant early 19th century small size watercolor. This is very well executed example with lots of detail.

It is hand done in colors of black and grey, with good detail added to the clothing, face, and hair. It is framed in a wood frame with a gold gilt surface. Framed, it measures 3 1/2 inches across by 4 3/4 inches tall. The backboard looks to be secured with its original tiny iron tacks, and may have a tiny smudge of old glue on the right top side.

I do not take things out of their frames to insure the item stays intact and free from tampering. It is in great condition with light foxing to the paper as expected. It is a well done and elegant item!
